A rose by any other name …
2 February 2008Welcome to Restafarian.org. Quite some time ago now, while employing the power of the Internet to do important research on some obviously work-related topic, I came across Building Web Services the REST Way. The more that I read, the more that I thought to myself, “Self, is this cool, or what?!” You know how it is: sometimes you read something that just makes perfect sense to you, as if you knew it all along, but just didn’t quite put it into words like that before. I was hooked immediately.
That’s not to say that I’m some rabid zealot for the REST methodology. Far from it! I’m just a simple coder who plies his trade with basic tools such as Java, HTML, and Javascript in an effort to solve every-day problems in the simplest way possible. I don’t really argue philosophy — I’d rather write code. Mainly, I just think the name Restafarian sounds pretty cool.
Besides, the domain was available, so that pretty much sealed the deal right there!
