Feeding each other
6 February 2008The other day, I created an OpenID for myself and set up my blog to serve as my OpenID. I never did test it, though, to see if it would actually work, so I thought maybe I better do that, just to be sure. I went out to the “Where can I use my OpenID?” list and found the myOpenID Site Directory, where I came across a link to Feed Each Other. According to the site:
“This is where the web comes to you. You can read content from all of your favorite websites here in one place. We can also show you what your friends are reading and enjoying so you can explore the web together.”
I clicked on the Sign In link at the top of the page, entered http://blog.restafarian.org in the OpenID field, which is the URL to this blog, not the URL that is my OpenID, and it bounced me over to myOpenID for authentication and then I was in!
Just like that!
I even found the Tools section of the site where I snagged the code for the RSS badge and added to the list on the sidebar, so now FeedEachOther is listed along with all of the other RSS options on the right. Bottom line: everything about the OpenID proxy seems to work just like its advertised. Now I guess it’s time to go explore FeedEachOther!
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
