Next up: the Notification service
27 October 2008After bouncing around from one thing to another to another, and then just suddenly giving up posting all together, I decided that it was high time to build something again. I have mentioned several times that I would like to build a Notification service to send out messages via various formats, merging boilerplate language with dynamic data, so it’s time to stop talking about it and start writing some code. I put together the first little piece some time ago, but never wrote anything about it. That’s as good a place as any to start, so I think that will be the first installment, after which I may step back a little bit and go over the basic vision in a little more detail.
There are quite a few things that I would like to do with this one, eventually, so it may evolve over time, but for now I think I’d just like to get something simple up and running, and then start adding features and functions as things progress. So, we’ll start small and then see where things go from there …
